# Edit a proposal

> Learn how to edit a proposal before the voting period starts.

If you're the author of a proposal on Snapshot, you can edit it while it's still in the **pending phase**, before the voting period starts. Look for the three-dot menu next to the proposal title to make your edits.

Once the voting period has started, the proposal can no longer be edited.
